I Am Pro Choice

I believe people have a right to choose how their life will play out. Although I love babies, and hope people can adapt to change I’ve seen how a baby changes someone’s life in both positive and negative ways.

I've never had an abortion and never would but I imagine having one can mess you up as well. It's not like getting a tooth pulled.

@bijouxbroussard this is so true. its her body.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
@bijouxbroussard Definitely, and for some women it's the way to get rid of an unwanted pregnancy. Of the 900,000 abortions performed in a year I'm sure the number of rapes and incest pregnancies are very low.
@FreeSpirit1 But because rape is underreported to begin with, there is no way to know that for certain. It actually is irrelevant, because if a woman doesn’t want to give birth, how safe is the child if she’s forced ?

I'm probably life and I firmly believed there are only a few exceptions when abortion should be allowed. If the baby was conceived by rape or incest, then abortion should be allowed. I also believe if there is a medical reason that is life threatening to the mother or the baby then yes to abortion. However if you hooked up with a random stranger and got pregnant, then you shouldn't be allowed to have a abortion. It is the women's and men's responsibility to do everything they can to prevent the pregnancy if neither party wants a baby.
@Yngbullrdr So you think if someone’s irresponsible—then they should be forced to have a child ? Seems counterintuitive.

If they were irresponsible then yes they should be forced to have the child

I never believe that we should accept people choosing to delete human beings. However, I believe that we're all born with a free will and that should remain the case.
Dariqueen · 22-25, F
Yes, I mean it’s not ideal to delete a human being (as you said) but if the baby would be put in harms way when it was delivered because of a living situation or a medical condition, I would choose to keep the baby from that pain. @MartinTheFirst
