Gun control in perspective

1 - Eleven teens die each day because of texting while driving. Maybe it's time to raise the age of Smart Phone ownership to 21.

2 - If gun control laws actually worked, Chicago would be Mayberry, USA.

3 - The Second Amendment makes more women equal than the entire feminist movement.

4 - Legal gun owners have 300 million guns and probably a trillion rounds of ammo. Seriously, folks, if we were the problem, you'd know it.

5 - When JFK was killed, nobody blamed the rifle.

6 - The NRA (National Rifle Association) murders 0 people and receives ($$$$ 0) nothing in government funds. Planned Parenthood kills 350,000 babies every year and receives $500,000,000 in tax dollars annually.

7 - I have no problem with vigorous background checks when it comes to firearms. While we're at it, let's do the same when it comes to immigration, Voter I.D., and candidates running for office.

8 - Folks keep talking about another Civil War. One side knows how to shoot and probably has a trillion rounds. The other side has crying closets and is confused about which bathroom to use. How do you think that would work out?

9 A man who left 300,000 guns for the Taliban is lecturing folks on gun control.

There’s more logic and common sense expressed here than probably anything you have seen on the news today

@OogieBoogie Germans too
@MasterLee i feel so sorry for Americans and the daily fear their gun culture has created. It must be awful to live under such baseline fear.😞
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@OogieBoogie nah no fear
@MasterLee i have seen too many reports from people who now live in other countries and how their fear followed them and haunted them.

And how they then discovered it isnt normal to live under such conditions.

Most of us never think about guns at all. They arent part of most peoples daily lives🤷‍♀️

@OogieBoogie uh huh
@MasterLee 😏
BlueVeins · 22-25
@OogieBoogie it's so hot when you make fun of conservatives
@BlueVeins 🤣
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@BlueVeins started stroking did ya
BlueVeins · 22-25
@MasterLee Not you, sorry.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@BlueVeins yeah you got all hot, don't deny it
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@OogieBoogie what’s to fear? Oh yeah, bad guys with guns that are not supposed to have them in the first place, or is it the 100 plus million law abiding gun owners that you fear? How does. Nation that confiscated guns still have 230 plus gun related deaths per year?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Prison1203 I certainly have no fear.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@Prison1203 Half the trouble is that the current laws in the US allow bad guys to get them until the moment they actually do the bad thing. The other half is the fact that US gun laws do a really shitty job at holding gun owners accountable for guns that have left their hands. I can go out to the store, buy a dozen rifles today, scratch off the serial number, sell them to criminals, and then do it again tomorrow, and law enforcement will be none the wiser.

@OogieBoogie
I feel bad for those Australian citizens that were drug away by government goons to what amounted to internment camps during COVID. I feel bad for all you Aussies and what your government has and is still forcing on you. And you all without a way to fight back. It is appalling.
@Prison1203 230 kinda beats something like ovet 45000 deaths per year.
edit: thats like 3% of what you guys have.

and you should be well aware that no system is perfect due to the criminal factor.

we just made it harder, sooner, to get a gun, before it became an uncontrollable situation - which sadly America is finding itself in now. 🤷‍♀️
@SlaveEt and what is the government forcing upon us right now ?
i get Melbourne went into appalling lockdown , the worst in the Southern hemisphere so i believe.
But i dont understand the current problem you are referring to.

and yes, those covid camos were appalling... the conditions were just prehistoric, i dint know how those people suffered....
... the horror of it all. 😁
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
@BlueVeins Those are illegal acts, destroying serial numbers , and knowingly selling guns to individuals that cannot legally buy them.

@OogieBoogie

i have seen too many reports from people who now live in other countries and how their fear followed them and haunted them.

If true they are no balls sacks of shit and I'm glad we were able to excrete them
@Slade seems a happy resolution for both then doesnt it?
Slade · 56-60, M
@OogieBoogie I've never known anyone who's spent one minute in their life worried about unprovoked shooting
Slade · 56-60, M
@BlueVeins buffoon
@Slade really?
it doesnt worry you to see kids shot down in class?

wow.😲
Slade · 56-60, M
@OogieBoogie since stats bear out that they are more likely to get struck by lightning than a completely random shooting, I'm hardly out to throw away our defense against tyranny for feelz
😂@Slade and how is your defence against tyranny going ?
Is it stopping the tyranny on the streets ?
is it stopping the tyranny of big pharma?
is it stopping the tyranny of power?

What tyranny are you talking about ?
