Can We Protect The Children?

Why not stand behind protecting our schools, with structural hardening and 'ARMED" security personnel and trained staff?

Political 'Gun' grabbing is ineffectual, despicable, irresponsible and dangerous!

I am so sick of this mentality.

We have had almost three decades to fix this.

The 'gun control' narrative is more important to the left than child protection!

Shame on them all. It's so sad and so obvious!

In the uk this doesnt happen because no one is allowed to own a gun . Even our armed police arnt allowed to have a gun while off duty their all safely locked up . Guns in public hands is just asking for trouble . In the uk you need to have a real good reason to own a gun . It is illegal for shops to sell firearms . As I have said before , they need to take guns out of public ownership . There is absolutely no reason for people to own guns unless your livelyhood rellies on it . One example is alligator hunting . The US needs to clamp down on gun ownership and stop the bullshit of everyones right to own a gun . Its not a right its a privilage and should be respected as such . The president needs to get a backbone and stand up to the gun lobby and say enough is enough . He needs to take back his position as head of state and put into law what is needed to take guns out of public hands .

@Rhode57 You have a poor understanding of the US Constitution.

@Rhode57 we aren’t the UK. We had to have arms to get from under the British. We are entitled to a well-armed militia to defend ourselves against being taken over completely by tyrants.

@cherokeepatti Thats a joke who is gonna take over the US seriously . It has one of the largest best trained and best equipped armies . It doesnt need a public militia . It doesnt need public owning guns either as yet again another shooting by some trigger happy nut . The sooner they take guns out of public ownership the better . How many lives have to be lost . Is life so cheap that having guns is worth more than all those lives lost .

@Rhode57 You know neither US history or the Constitution. You know my the 2nd Amendment was considered so important by the Founders? I'll bet you don't.

@Rhode57 That’s not your problem is it? I think the UK has enough for you to worry about. We will worry about our own country.

@Rhode57 Americans need to learn from countries that are safe.

@Carazaa Sure ain't the UK

@Rhode57 A step in the right direction happened this week there will be backround checks and anyone with a domestic violence offense in the past will never be able to own a gun. Also some of the more liberal states on the west coast and the east coast have more gun laws.

@Carazaa The Supreme Court struck down New York's gun control laws. Try to keep up.

@DCarey Not true!

@DCarey
(CNN June 25 2022)President Joe Biden on Saturday signed into law the first major federal gun safety legislation passed in decades, marking a significant bipartisan breakthrough on one of the most contentious policy issues in Washington.

"God willing, it's going to save a lot of lives," Biden said at the White House as he finished signing the bill.
The legislation came together in the aftermath of recent mass shootings at a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school and a Buffalo, New York, supermarket that was in a predominantly Black neighborhood. A bipartisan group of negotiators set to work in the Senate and unveiled legislative text on Tuesday. The bill -- titled the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act -- was released by Republican Sens. John Cornyn of Texas and Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Democratic Sens. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona.
The House on Friday passed the bill by 234-193, including 14 Republicans voting with Democrats. The Senate passed the bill in a late-night vote Thursday.
