Would US gun control be more likely if...

..the media didn't censor and sanitize mass shootings to avoid "disturbing" viewers. What we see is clean, routine outside shots of police and others walking around the scene, blurred images (if any) of victims, etc., when the reality of today is made up of the screams of terrified children and adults, the bullet-savaged bodies of 18 children lying in pools of their own blood and their classmates' blood on school floors, the pain of the survivors being rushed to hospital. A mass shooting is a horror and we should be forced to confront that horror and not allow it to be hidden from view to prevent America from being "upset" by reality. :'(

@ChipmunkErnie The American public doesn't cope well with sensitive graphic videos like that being shown on national TV that can be seen by other children. However, they might change the thinking of some of the "No changes to the 2nd Amendment Senators" if they are 'forced' to sit through 'reality' videos like that with plenty of barf bags available. I don't think that will happen either. 🤷‍♂️

@softspokenman So you understand that those Senators are the problem.. Then the rest is easy isnt it?😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Indeed, without any doubt. I heard a song today that helped, 'Time for... cool change' Little River Band. 👍

@softspokenman The American public doesn't cope well with reality, they chose to avoid it -- that's why the images should be shown, to shake them out of their willful apathy.

@ChipmunkErnie I agree with that principle. The American public do not cope well with reality. In this case access to firearms gives people the idea that they can fight back if pushed individually.. The reality is that a gun in the house makes a person feel that they dont need their neighour, community. or countrymen. They are rugged individials.. And rugged individuals can be isolated and picked off. America has already lost what made it great in the first place. Its unity.😷
@ChipmunkErnie Have you watched the news clips of Sen. Ted Cruz's solution to school shootings, 'hardening the schools"?
It's the schools fault! 😳
That tells me that the Senate isn't considering any plan or making any changes to gun control. He might just as well have said; So just count on more school shootings and more mass murders of children, and get use to it because we live in a country where gun violence is acceptable. 😳 ?
(added) Gun violence is obviously acceptable to the GOP, the NRA, and the gun lobby.

@softspokenman As long as the dummies in Texas keep electing that pile of shit they shouldn't get upset when he craps on them.
