Would US gun control be more likely if...

..the media didn't censor and sanitize mass shootings to avoid "disturbing" viewers. What we see is clean, routine outside shots of police and others walking around the scene, blurred images (if any) of victims, etc., when the reality of today is made up of the screams of terrified children and adults, the bullet-savaged bodies of 18 children lying in pools of their own blood and their classmates' blood on school floors, the pain of the survivors being rushed to hospital. A mass shooting is a horror and we should be forced to confront that horror and not allow it to be hidden from view to prevent America from being "upset" by reality. :'(

If you took the power away from the NRA you would solve 90% of your problems over night. The NRA puts big money in to backing politicians who vote in favor of ease of access to guns.

@justanothername Criminals and others can and will get anything they want for money. Stop being so naive.

@RedBaron Taking the power away from the NRA is a starting point.

@justanothername Maybe, but it wouldn't eliminate guns and demand for them.

@RedBaron If you don’t make a start you will never know how far you could get.

@RedBaron Shit only happens if you let it.

@justanothername You can't control and legislate away human nature. Unfortunate but true ever since Cain killed Abel.

@RedBaron You can set limits. And have consequences when you exceed those limits.

As adults we make conscious decisions. We there for need to be held responsible for the outcomes of those conscious decisions when they impact other peoples lives.

@justanothername Anyone intent on shooting a bunch of people obviously isn't worried about limits and consequences. It all gets back to shit happens that we can't control. People have trouble coming to grips with the irrational and random because it's scary.
