You cant control evil and evil wants us disarmed. That cant be allowed to happen and there cant possibly be more gun laws.

@Carazaa No it doesnt. That violates the second amendment. congress could pass laws with mandatory sentencing guidelines for gun crimes. In fact they did, and the prisons filled up with African Americans. Democrats reversed that and obama released violent felons right on the street, and some re offended soon after. The laws are there, demand more from the politicians rather than infringe the rights of law abiding gun owners.

@Carazaa The lack of safety is artificially induced as a ploy to get people to blame guns, Did obama do a thing about Chicago? Does the Mayor of Chicago do anything about the gun problems? No, they want the issue . Our right to keep and bear arms is not granted by the government but rather protected from it. If you know anything about history a quick glance at what happened after a country disarmed would astound you. The governments killed millions because they were the only legally armed entities in those countries. Not happening here. As far as safety, medical malpractice by far is much more dangerous than guns, same for motor vehicle accidents and knife attacks.

@TexChik As a Christian we should never be as concerned about our rights as we are concerned about loving people and sacrifizing our lives for Jesus. You can not be a christian and be concerned about your rights. You need to get back to your Bible and pray to be more like Jesus who died for his enemies!

@TexChik [c=BF0000]Take Up Your Cross
24Then Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?…MATT 16[/c]

@Carazaa He also said in Luke 22:36 "Let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one". And he also made other mentions as well in references to strengthening yourself and being able to wield power. If you are harmless, there is no virtue in causing no harm, because you don't have a choice. but if you are powerful, but don't misuse that power, then you are virtuous. This also ties in with his quote "the meek shall inherit the earth". By meek we understand that that means to wield great power but to not abuse that power. Jesus made it clear that he wanted people to be strong and resourceful on an independent level. And that he wanted people to learn to control that power and use it for good. That is true enlightenment and growth. It is an archetype found in all sorts of literature. Because suffering, love, independence and so on are all experienced on the individual level, rather than the group. So it's the individual that needs to be able to practice these freedoms.
