Is school shooting linked to lack of gun control

Another terrible school shooting in the States. One send it to commented that the United States is the only country that has this problem . When are they going to wake up to the fact that the easy availability of guns is the major factor? I love the American people and have some great friends and relatives over there but I just cannot understand the thought process on this issue .

At my childrens school some boys jumped the fence to attack some pupils there. They didn't have guns as gun access is hard in the UK but if they did then kids are dumb enough to wind themselves up into shooting people. It would of been a whole other matter than just sounding a fire alarm and having the children all congregate in a sports hall until the boys were removed.

So I do agree having easier access to guns makes these things more likely.
