Ok, think logically. What's different from say 40 years ago. We had guns, we had fewer gun laws, we eve had our share of crazies. We have offspring of drug users. Maybe the acid messed with the DNA more than a little. No, that's just one facet, the biological part. The rest is purely environmental, less judgment, more permissiveness, instant gratification. But I'm guessing drugs plays a big part. We created it.

@katielass we don't have any hope of answering the question. The NRA backed legislation BANNING the CDC and anyone else, from using federal dollars to study this! Why do you think they did that???

@katielass wring! The us congress passed legislation specifically banning such. Florida passed legislation, later declared unconstitutional, which barred physicians from discussing g gun safety with their patients!!#

@katielass do yourself a favor, Google the Dickey amendment of 1996. The congress specifically restricted the CDC from such research and from promulgating gun control!!! Before you say I am wrong, do a little reading about the subject!

@samueltyler2 I am 100 steps ahead of you. The government has not banned anyone, including the cdc, from studying why people go on shooting sprees. They can study anything they want, what they may not do is violate our privacy rights and get physicians to do their dirty work and report who owns guns and who doesn't. oblamo tried the same thing and he was shot down by the court. Since you don't seem to understand the details and don't seem able to differentiate, I suggest you refrain from embarrassing yourself further.

@katielass I will not argue with someone who is so totally wrong and obviously refuses to face reality. If gun ownership is so wonderful, WHY NOT ALLOW IT TO BE STUDIED? Please read the Dickey amendment before you call me out on this.
