I Want Major Gun Control In the Usa

Boys And Their Toys... I just posted a reply to a question which beggars belief. It was posted on EP by an ex-cop who claimed to have secret info on the Newtown massacre. He used the fact that the AR15 assault rifle was not used by the killer as a reason for opposing gun control on assault rifles. So presumably the fact that most kids were killed by a bushmaster rifle or various handguns is completely acceptable to him. God bless America!

Any kind of gun ban wouldn't have helped. You see, Adam didn't own those guns. He WAS banned from owning guns. But gun bans only effect the people who follow the law, not the ones that steal and use them.

See my previous answer.....if his mother hadn't have been a whacko survivalist he wouldn't have had such easy access to a load of guns. Gun control would have stopped him. Does a middle aged woman need a Bushmaster assault rifle?

He would have acquired them from somewhere else. Because thats what criminals do. Marijuana is illegal in the UK, how long would it take you to purchase some if you wanted it?

No one needs to have an assault rifle in their home. They might want one, but they do not need one. Explain why they would need one in a sensible answer or apologise.

First get past your liberal mind set they are not assault rifles. they are semi automatic rifles. You explain why you need a TV or computer, you don't NEED them you want them. You are the one that needs to be apologizing for being an ignorant, self righteous person that feels he has the right to say what people can and can not have. If you don't like them don't own one. I have firearms because I WANT them and pray that I never NEED them.

Indeed! Humans NEED the following...air, water, food, shelter...a few require medicine, and that' sabot it. Outside of those things listed, humans don't actually need anything else. Imagine a world in which gov't. dictates our behavior based on what someone else thinks we need. And sadly, we seem to be heading in that direction.
