or a police state? what do you think....it certainly feels oppressive, like many freedoms have been taken away.

Britain, a police state? Steady on. I once got a parking ticket outside a Toby Carvery and shouted ‘fascism!’ but deep down, I knew—I had straddled two bays 😅
You know who thought we were a totalitarian state? My mate Geoff. Then we found out he’d been hoarding fireworks and calling it a 'light-based protest'. Not a freedom fighter—just a man with too much time and a short fuse!
Ultimately, my dad used to say, ‘The day they ban pork scratchings is the day the regime begins.’ Well guess what? Scratchings still legal. Democracy lives!
