I've said for a long time, members of congress and senate should use the same means for salary, health care and retirement as the people they represent. And yes, if the government shuts down, their salary should as well. They may be a little more inclined to come to the table and work with one another than point fingers and walk away.

I think that there should be posted lists of all Congress people who voted to shut it down along with QR codes that take you to their email in the security lines and around the airports. It would allow travelers to correspond while waiting in line.

If ever there is a shutdown, first to go should be the salaries of all elected officials with no back fill.
