Look I'm pro armed citzenry to the core, the worker should have access to the equalizer the ownership and priviledged classes have. However this clearly weaponizing the worker class against its own class and meant to arm the "right" from the "wrong". Nothing more than a hail-Mary attempt to keep a voting base inspite of bad representation. Just a stop gap to mitigate ramifications of a bad policy and actions.
Good policy and reactions isn't good if it has to applied with "ifs and buts".
