US Government

Will the Republicans cave all or in part to the big spending demands of the left? Or will Schumer instruct his minions to vote for the continuing resolution as the House passed it?

And if it does shut down, will many of the furloughs be permanent?

You mean will the Republicans cave to demands to extend tax credits that make health insurance cheaper for millions of Americans (which are set to expire), and for a reversal of cuts to Medicaid that have been made by Trump?

Seems reasonable to me.

@wildland sorry bunky. No medicaid cuts to eligible recipients

@Patriot96 Exactly
@Patriot96 Well, the Republicans have decided they're not going to compromise on that, and the government is now shut down 😂
@carpediem
Dems want to fund health care for illegals, open the borders, reinstate some of the ills of USAID and more. If
And they've specifically said that? 😂

No, they haven't, and now your government is shut down and in a total shambles again. Odd, isn't it, that the vast majority of government shutdowns have happened under Trump😂
@Patriot96 Well, sorry, 10 million eligible Americans will lose healthcare due to the Medicaid cuts, as well as to changes to the ACA. Also, without an extension of the tax credits for premiums, health insurance prices will rise for around 20 million eligible Americans.

No wonder Democrats refused to back this insanity. This shutdown is the Republican's fault, and theirs alone.

I'm loving it 😂

@wildland Total shambles? You don’t know much do you? Trump can now permanently furlough employees the judges saved from being laid off. LOL

And the people know this was the Democrats doing. The polls are showing that clearly.

Looks like Trump wins again.
@carpediem Typical MAGA gloating. The Democrats were trying to stop millions of Americans losing their healthcare, and you now crow that as a result, people are going to be fired LOL!

Also, looks like you're wrong about who's to blame :)

Americans are divided on which party to blame if funding lapses after midnight tonight, according to a new PBS News/NPR/Marist poll.

Yet a plurality – 38% – say Republicans, who control the White House and both houses of Congress, would be most at fault.

In the new poll, 27% would blame Democrats, while 31% believe both parties would be equally to blame.

I mean yes, there is another article that says "America says NO as radical left drives Democrat shutdown"

But that's from the White House 😂 And we believe the crap that spews from that orifice about as much as you claimed you believed the White House when Biden was president.

We'll stick with the more unbiased polling that shows Republicans are most to blame.

So much winning😂

@carpediem I am blaming Republicans. The Democrats are attempting to improve the lives of millions by extending tax credits. The Republicans refuse, and will continue to give those billions to Israel instead, because America First, right?

The Dems will not be bullied, so the Republicans will be blamed for this. :)

@wildland whatever kid. 🙄 Cry all you want
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
@wildland you mean financing illegals housing, food and Healthcare helps everyday Americans
@carpediem I'm loving it :)
@Patriot96 There's no evidence of that and you know it :) Facts don't care about your feelings.

@Patriot96 The guy is twisted
@carpediem You know I'm right; you have no evidence to prove otherwise :) If that's twisted, so be it😁

@carpediem He's is also uninformed 🙄
@nudistsueaz Show me why i am uninformed. Oh wait, you can’t/won’t 😂
