It seems strange because the left is still more tolerant than the right. There is an intolerance for intolerance, but you cannot tolerate intolerance and have a tolerant society.

By and large, most leftists celebrating it are being too welcoming of violence. However, we do need to keep in mind that the person who was murdered advocated for societal harm and revocation of rights for certain people. He advocated for political violence against them.

Murder is still wrong. But that doesn't mean Kirk's hatred should have been tolerated. He should not have been killed for it though.

@ViciDraco I see the celebrating of Kirk by others more of a stress relief than anything. I hate how conservatives lack awareness for what it feels for others in others shoes.

If you are an immigrant, trans person or anyone not of the nationalist mindset kind of... hearing Kirk say the things he does and have massive followers celebrating when he abuses others, I mean what do they expect.

I honestly am surprised by how much they say that empathy is a woke trait, not just by Kirk but the whole right winged movement, that they seem to want empathy secretly. They don't give it out freely though.

I don't think people are truly celebrating kirk's death, I think it's more like relief because he said such things that inspired fear in others and actively encouraged for others to go after professors.

I mean calling for the guy who hit a democrat with a hammer and wanting him freed from jail? Come on Kirk wasn't a nice guy
