IS THE USA APPROACH TO PUTIN'S AGGRESSION WORKING?

Here's a broadcast that points out a glaring weakness in the current approach to Russia.
There is an alternative that is being considered, but not yet 'signed off' by Trump.

So this old lady has the answer to stopping the war? She says no sanctions but isn't most of Europe still buying Russian oil ? Biden fed the war to keep his assets in ukrain safe ,the un just kept pushing closer to Russia with it's missiles going against agreements made decades ago . Trump should cut all funding of this proxy war . I mean don't we know that Russia could obliterate Ukraine in one massive blast? The only thing stopping that is Trimp like him or hate him the Russians now fear the us unlike when biden was supposedly in charge. .
@kodiac Nope. Europe has committed economic suicide and also were cool with the CIA blowing up their pipeline all for brownie points with Washington.

This has nothing to do with Biden and goes back as far as the early 90s and the likes of zbigniew brzezinski who was an insane Polish nationalist.

And Russia doesn't need to resort to nukes. They are in the process of collapsing the Ukrainian military.

And no, Russia doesn't take Trump any more seriously than Biden, or Obama. Russia has understood since the 90s no American president is their friend.

Pretending that Russia cares who is the POTUS is just Americans desperate to make themselves the main character of the entire globe.

@kodiac without Russian oil Europe will freeze . It was check mate for Europe the second that pipeline was completed . And they knew it . So did (does ) Putin
@AthrillatheHunt And yet Europe obediently committed economic suicide and is now entirely dependent on the USA. And the CIA blew up the pipeline so Europe doesn't have a choice.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Europe will never be dependent on US to heat their homes in winter . And IMO it was just Germany that threw the rest of Europe under the bus, but they pay the bills so they make the rules
@AthrillatheHunt It is now. Now they are almost 100% dependent on American LNG. That has been the case for awhile now.

And the CIA admitted they blew up the pipeline in "cooperation with Ukraine" to force Germany into the proxy war.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow 100% dependent on US ? Okay man whatever you say
@AthrillatheHunt Look, the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up what a year and a half ago? This is old news. Last winter Europe was importing almost all US LNG exports.

The only reason why it has gone down is because it is no longer cold.

@kodiac but isn't most of Europe still buying Russian oil ? who and how ?
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I have it on good intel it will be cold again in about 3/5 months time . AI puts the LNG number at 45-55% which was news to me . That was my piece of learning for today .i love how discussion , even disagreements , can produce good results .
@Khenpal1 No. It is sanctioned so Europe is not buying Russian oil and has not for awhile.
@AthrillatheHunt Yeah. Found an old Reuters article when I was looking this up again and last February 9 out of 10 LNG tankers from the US were going to the UK or the EU.

@Khenpal1 Well I mean sure. Both Kazakhstan and China have been buying surplus and reselling it to the Europeans at an inflated price. But at that point it is no longer considered a Russian sale. But there is all kinds of shady bullshit that goes on in conflicts.

NATO violated it's own arms embargoes in Yugoslavia through back channels and infamously crossbows sold as "sporting goods'.

There will always been loopholes exploited.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The US govt also allowed US citizens to join the KLA (Kosovo liberation army ) during the conflict , same as Russia is using n Korea soldiers. Loopholes my man just as you said
@AthrillatheHunt Yep and the leader of the KLA was installed as president after the war. A literal terrorist. Kind of like Syria now.

Russia and the DPRK is different. They have strategic alliances too. Just like NATO. Just less formal.

@AthrillatheHunt That is mostly cold war propaganda. Some do and some actually have some pretty good relations with them. Most do actually which is why you have groups like the CSTO and CIS. The US has been working hard at driving wedges for years though as have US allies like Turkey with Azerbaijan.

The Kazakhs have had good relations with Moscow for decades. In fact they were one of the USSR Republics that wanted no part of Yeltsin's rebellion and didn't have a separatist movement but were tossed out of their own country (the USSR) by Yeltsin essentially. Places like Uzbekistan and Kirghistan are mostly run by corrupt clowns like Yeltsin and switched back and forth to being friendly with the US mostly because their leaders are notoriously corrupt and will side with whoever gives them the biggest bribes and the most guns.

Belarus has been in the process of joining Russia again since 2008 but Lukashenko likes to scream he is being coerced whenever things don't go his way mostly based exclusively on the man's ego.

Transnistria is a bizarre left over of the USSR that is slowly dying from neglect but is suddenly getting more attention from Moscow now mostly because it could be useful to NATO if they seize it because it was the largest dumping ground of soviet ammunition in 1991 and still is a massive stockpile that could keep the Ukraine proxy war going for years.

The politics of the region is a mess.

Just like it would be a shit show if the US was suddenly 50 separate countries overnight.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Belarus and Azerbaijan have def remained close allies to their former USSR parent. They are the only 2, and neither country ends w a Stan

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I was in Istanbul a year to the date of the “coup” against Erdogon. A year earlier he had fighter jets fly over Istanbul and go Mach and blow out windows . He said it was a coup .
@AthrillatheHunt Used to talk with someone who was a leftist in Turkey on this site in the early days. Said people like him would just get disappeared. They stopped posting quite awhile ago. Made me wonder if he was snatched too.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow he’s gunna be around a long time like Putin and Kim Jong. Turkey has historically and politically walked a fine line between east and west and served as peace makers and brokers .
@AthrillatheHunt From what I have seen and read it seems like Turkey like Israel where both allies of convenience during the cold war to prevent the "domino effect" in the Middle East. And both have since become a geopolitical nightmare for the west and the US in particular.
