Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic Socialist PRIMARY in the race for New York's Mayor. He will run against Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa and at least three independent candidates, including Cuomo and current Mayor Eric Adams in the next mayoral election.

SOME very young people in NYC voted for him in the primary because..."they don't feel socialism has ever been given a real chance." 🤣🤣🤣 And that right there is an indictment of NYC's public school system.

ONE of Mamdani's lead balloon ideas is to create a socialist style grocery store...paid for by the city...because the bread lines in the Soviet Union worked out SO well. 🤣🤣🤣

Mamdani is a nut. When he gets in front of a microphone, he starts shouting his various rants...and there is no need to shout when you are using a microphone. That alone demonstrates that he feels his words and ideas alone are not strong enough to stand without screaming them.

There are some rather rabid Republicans on X who want Mamdani's citizenship to be revoked and want him to be deported. THAT's not gonna happen. I guess there are nuts on both sides.
No, but the new mayor of NYC will make sure that everyone within NYC is afforded their Constitutional protections of due process. The new mayor may also require that officers' faces be uncovered and badge numbers clearly displayed, and that ICE vehicles carry legitimate traceable license plates.

For Constitutional protections I refer you to Mathews v. Diaz 1976
Even one whose presence in this country is unlawful, involuntary, or transitory is entitled to that constitutional protection.

Also see current SCOTUS US v J.G.G. April 7, 2025
“TdA members subject to removal under the Alien Enemies Act get judicial review.” Reply in Support of Application To Vacate 1. “It is well established that the Fifth Amendment entitles aliens to due process of law” in the context of removal proceedings. Reno v. Flores, 507 U. S. 292, 306 (1993). So, the detainees are entitled to notice and opportunity to be heard “appropriate to the nature of the case.” Mullane v. Central Hanover Bank & Trust Co., 339 U. S. 306, 313 (1950).

This will only be a problem for tRump to the extent that tRump's masked national police violate the Constitution. In other words, it's a BIGLY BIG problem for tRump!!

@nudistsueaz No, just a dramatic result in the Democratic mayoral primaries.

The first immigrants for ICE to go after should be Melania and her parents -- and the anchor kid, Baron.
