@samueltyler2 in 1930’s Germany yes big time. The Weimar Republic had inflation worse than Yugoslavia in the 1990’s . Like daily inflation rates . Today bread costs 3 dollars , tomorrow it’s 5.Next week 12.

@samueltyler2 my bad. I was responding to you asking why a German would leave Germany prior to WWII. My answer was many Germans who left Germany in the late 20’s and 30’s left because of inflation. Nobody left bc of the Nazis party rising. They didn’t know a holocaust was coming. If the Jews knew they would have left.

@AthrillatheHunt Virtually up until WW2 started Jews were fleeing other countries, such as Poland or Russia to settle in Germany. Whilst Nazi Germany was not a safe place for Jews it should be remembered that it was not alone in this prior to Ww2. It's also because historically Germany had been safer and the changes hadn't been realised by many in other countries.

@22Michelle the Polish had been hating the Jews for centuries prior to WW2. Many people saw opportunities in 1930’s Germany due to the economy in collapse . Like buying a stock when it hits rock bottom. Many living in Germany wanted to get out due to the economy.

@AthrillatheHunt true but the antisemitism in Germany seemed to come as a shock since they had been so assimilated for a century. That is why many didn't make much of the Nazis thinking it would pass. The similarities here are astoundingly worrisome.

@samueltyler2 If you believe the statistic that 2% of US is trans that puts their numbers at 6 million , same as Jews who were gassed . Where will the trans nation state be ? Maui?
