President Trump has stated the the US will apply 25% tariffs on both Canada and Mexico starting this Saturday. This is a punitive action based in the levels of drugs and people those countries allow to pass into the US illegally.

Will Canada and Mexico make adjustments or be stubborn and allow these tariffs to destroy their respective economies?

And he will continue to keep winning them due to a simple fact:these countries are far more dependent on us than we are on them.

Except that as soon as Mexico and Canada hit back almost immediately with tariffs of their own, and the Dow went into freefall, Trump suddenly backpedalled and slapped a 30 day "pause" on the tariffs. Just like a typical bullyboy, as soon as someone bullies him he turns into a snivelling sidekick. Expect the 30-day pause to turn into a 30-year one...

These were BIG wins for Canada, and especially Mexico, who are not actually doing anything different to what they had originally negotiated under Biden.
