President Trump has stated the the US will apply 25% tariffs on both Canada and Mexico starting this Saturday. This is a punitive action based in the levels of drugs and people those countries allow to pass into the US illegally.

Will Canada and Mexico make adjustments or be stubborn and allow these tariffs to destroy their respective economies?

Mexico already blinked.

The Canadian dollar and Mexican peso just plummeted based on the tariffs.

Canadian exports to the US account for 22% of their GDP. Mexican exports to the US account for 30% of their GDP. US exports to these nations account for less than 2% of our GDP. Trump won the tariffs battle before it began.

@DavidT8899 that's exactly right.
