Should so-called oligarchs have any place in democracies?

Should unelected people have any place in the democratic process of government? In Britain there was a man called Cummings who made the news during the pandemic, and now in America there is the non-American man of the moment who has his own media platform, Elon Musk.

Obviously no. Democracy and capitalism aren't compatible and Murka made their oligarchs global hegemon. On purpose, using conservative values. No escaping.

@Roundandroundwego It is interesting that you mentioned that. The word "democracy" doesn't appear in ANY of America's founding documents. And your far left goose stepping side of the aisle has a BIG PROBLEM with Democracy, when it came to the Supreme Court overturning the totally UNDEMOCRATIC Roe V. Wade and sending it to the states where they could decide based on DEMOCRACY. You goose steppers hate it, too.
