Should so-called oligarchs have any place in democracies?

Should unelected people have any place in the democratic process of government? In Britain there was a man called Cummings who made the news during the pandemic, and now in America there is the non-American man of the moment who has his own media platform, Elon Musk.

No they should not.

@TheShanachie would you control speech to stop them?

@MyGirlPhotoswell an odd question within a question. We are discussing unelected oligarchs in position of political control over citizens in a population not what anyone is saying.

@TheShanachie not at all strange, she likened his so-called oligarchy of him being empowered through his own mass media platform. And as in a conversation between her and I, I defined him as an “influencer” Again, Would you limit his speech?
TheShanachie · 61-69, M
@MyGirlPhotoswell no but I would deport him, perhaps he could stay with you in Russia.
