Do you trust the government?

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I do. I went to public schools. Ive gotten government/ state health benefits. i was on welfare for a couple months. ive gotten pell grants. teh government cares about you. they work for our safety and security. i may not agree with every action they take but i think they would know better than me and probably have their good reasons for it. sure i might think if i was in charge we'd do this or that but i dont want the responsibility. call me lazy lol, but what power to have to alter their actions anyway? i mean sure if it meant enough to me i might get involved. but thats a beauty of out government. our voices can be heard when we want it to be.

@Elessar The way you write, saying…” by allowing…” I am not allowing anything.
Perhaps you don’t realize Ukraine is not going to “win” this conflict despite our tax dollars being squandered. They’re at a stalemate.
It is time for a ceasefire and peace talks.

As for Putin going after NATO countries, he realizes that would start a large war, potentially expanding to nuclear confrontation. I don’t think he’s that foolish unless he thinks (if it is the case, Biden would balk) That too is a possibility and not only with Russia but with China if they attack Taiwan. Joe espoused we’d defend Taiwan. Said it twice. Don’t be surprised it Xi checks Joe’s oil on that…possibly finding it low!
And WW3 happens based on other players who have agendas. Not only China Russia and the U.S.

You'd like that, wouldn't you? Because Ukraine is definitely going to lose land at the peace talks. And all the people who were forcibly relocated to Russia? Well, who cares about them, right? Certainly not you.
@LordShadowfire You worried about Ukraine? I’m not. It is not our war.
We’re being bled dry ( the taxpayers) as this administration squanders our taxpayer dollars in and on Ukraine.
Money that could be better put to use here in the U.S.
We need to address THIS COUNTRY first!
Yes, start peace talks have a ceasefire! What’s so wrong with that ?
