Do corporations have control of the government?

There's no helping us now that the Republicans have gotten so weird.
Let us bow to our Walmart overlords.

If someone had control, the world wouldn't be so chaotic.
I think people often like to scapegoat their character flaws onto the institutions that harbor them. It's easier than working to change oneself.

@SnailTeeth the world doesnt seem chaotic to me and I'm not sure what you are talking about

@Penny

I don't understand how you feel hopeless, and you don't see that as chaotic.

"No helping us" implies hopelessness.

@SnailTeeth i dont feel hopeless personally. im more like accepting things how they are

@Penny I think both sides of the political fight are clad in their own bias. Casting shade does nothing but drive the people huddled in their camps closer together.
It's impossible to tackle the situation when you're tackling groupthink. All of those people have come to be there for their own reasons, which may even contradict the reasons of their brethren.
I see the Republican supporters as a patch-work group of people trying to find somewhere they belong. They're many minor denominations converging as one identity.

@SnailTeeth idk. lol. ultra christian conservatives vs. lib"tards". sigh. lets get rid of all of them lol

@Penny I would hate to live in a world of people who were exactly like me, it would be maddening to never have other perspectives. I sometimes think the world would be better if I were here alone, but it's usually only when I feel disempowered.
Anyways, I just feel no matter what direction this conversation heads, you're going to shoot down whatever I have to say. I think this is arguing for the sake of arguing, and that's seldom conducive to anything.
Penny · 46-50, F
@SnailTeeth who's arguing?

@Penny The person who keeps flipping the script.
