I just checked my social security statement and ….

It says that they overpaid me almost $5,000 and they want their money back! Wtf? How does something like that even happen? I don’t have money like that to give them for their mistakes! There was some kind of a waiver thing I could fill out to hopefully get them to waive it so I will do that.
Has this happened to anyone else here?

What’s that? Is that like in Canada we get our T fours income tax, every year saying what you paid in that what that is

@Funlov I’m not sure how to describe it. When you retire, you get social security benefits from all the years you worked. You can also get it if you’re on disability. The government pays you a monthly check. I’m not old enough to get social security yet from retirement, but over 20 years ago I was on disability for a year and that’s where this came from.
