I just checked my social security statement and ….

It says that they overpaid me almost $5,000 and they want their money back! Wtf? How does something like that even happen? I don’t have money like that to give them for their mistakes! There was some kind of a waiver thing I could fill out to hopefully get them to waive it so I will do that.
Has this happened to anyone else here?

They will make you pay it back, but they should be able to spread it out. It still sucks. How did that happen?

@Mardrae You need to make an appointment at the local Social Security office to meet with an agent, or just walk in and take a number.
