I can't see them taxing you for air or charging you for basic sustenance such as good and water but there might be different levels.
When civilian jobs start happening they won't be following orders. Once people stay there too long they won't be able to leave and kids won't ever be able to survive going back to earth.
What if someone is unable to contribute of won't contribute? Gradually the population will be composed of a fair percentage of elderly, the infirm, children, and worthless loonies. How do you deal with that?
