@BalladOfADeadSoulja Probably because it was produce that was past it’s use by date. Supermarkets are commercial businesses who need to sell products to generate revenue to make a profit.
@BalladOfADeadSoulja The other logical explanation which is common with large supermarket chains is price fixing which is uncompetitive and forces smaller players out of the market. It’s quite common and anticompetitive. It has NOTHING to do with government decisions.
More likely it was caused by an electrical fault in a poorly wired A/C system that was over loaded by the heat wave.
Contrary to popular belief, most calamities are NOT caused by conspiracy nut jobs. Many Republicans just like to find someone to blame to match with their nut job theories.
@Pitchblue idk it seems like there was a lot this year and honestly it’s very hard not to buy into the conspiracies lacking trust in government to conduct investigations appropriately and not cover shit up is at an all time high right now.
@Ozuye502 $20 a pound for chicken in the fall? With only a handfull of companies/familiess owning the meat processing industry they can do exactly what the Oil and Gas companies are doing right now. Why drill for more oil when you can just raise the price on existing oil.
Been an alarming number of fires destroying food processing centers. Of course, the gov't warned of food shortages before the epidemic of fires. Amazing foreshadowing capabilities.

Tens Of Thousands Of Chickens Killed In Wright County Egg Farm Fire https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/wright-county-egg-farm-fire/
Notably, an article they link to does not attempt to characterize it as arson or a vast conspiracy (that spin is left to Gateway Pundit and its right wing conspiracy site ilk):
This fire did not halt operations at the Howard Lake farm where the blaze occurred, and they have five additional facilities in the Midwest. The Wright County sheriff's office gave an early estimate that about 200,000 chickens were killed in the fire.
The post claims that Forsman Farm is one of the "largest egg factories in US." Another Facebook post suggests that the fire in one of the Forsman barns destroyed the farm's entire egg production and could impact the nation's egg supply. It's true Forsman Farms is a very large commercial egg producer -- the company website says they sell over 3 million eggs a day -- but they are not near the top of the list of egg farms in terms of the size of their egg laying flock.
It's strange that you would post this under "Government" ...
