I had someone tell me to get over slavery

I don't think this person meant for it to sound bad but people need to understand that so long as we support the systems that made slavery possible in the first place, we can't just get over it. Trump is actively trying to bring slavery back by approving of segregation in the military and doing things like covering slavery exhibits and trying to white wash history.

We get "over" it through installing better policies and people but we're not doing that. So no I won't get over it.
