Economic plan for America once we drive the Oligarchy out of Government
Congress should enact the folloowing measures:
1. Make offshore tax havens for corporations and the wealthy illegal.
2. Reverse all the tax cuts given to the wealthy since Reagan.
3. Reform the tax code: the wealthy have seen to it the tax code is riddled with loop-holes for corporations and the wealthy - Return the tax code to what it was in 1960.
4. Ban stock buybacks, (which Reagan legalized.)
5. Congress should pass a tax on transactions in securities and derivatives. Even a 1/4 of 1% tax would bring in a huge amount of revenue. Such a tax would have the added benefit of tamping down reckless speculation in the financial sector.
6. Reduce military spending by half. Corrupt defense contractors are stealing the American people's tax money hand over fist.
Enact these measures and we will quickly pay down the federal deficit and have plenty of money for domestic improvements.
