The biggest mistake by Democrats during Obama's eight lackluster years in the White House was their failure to index the minimum wage to inflation. An increase signed by President George W. Bush was going in effect and Obama and the Dems wanted to save legislation for any changes to the minimum wage as a tool to use against Republicans in future elections.
