GDP or Purchasing Power Parity?

The first makes the West look huge, but some people prefer purchasing power as an economic measure, because it's more accurately about what an economy delivers to the population.
Which is your favorite measurement?

GDP is a bogus metric. PPP is the only relevant metric for how people actually live in a country. Even GNP was more accurate.
