Collective bargaining does not spread wealth, it increases production cost, meaning that income increase is nullified.

@meJess Right. It also means the workers who are better at their jobs don't get rewarded.
Consider teachers. In the UK teachers all get paid the same, they're not judged on individual ability/results. So the good teachers lose out. Clearly there's no motivation to be a good teacher if you won't rewarded - may as well do just enough to get by.
Compare to a billionaire. He/she will reward based on your individual value add. That's the only way to make money.
