The US economy desperately needs immigrant workers to exploit - why is the line at the border moving so slow?

Two million underpaid people short and you want to put up a fence,?

@whowasthatmaskedman they're frightened of deportation, frightened of police, hard working and not ready to strike for any reason. Nobody thinks the US economy ever moved without slaves! Do you think gun carrying Republican Men are going to sanitize the heads and mow away the life from every patch of land?
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego Of course slavery still exists in America. Just go look af the Prison labor contracting system. And thats not just the Republican states. Its business American style. As I see it, unless something diabolical happens, Republicans are about to get creamed as the next Presidential election and lose everything (Thank you Donald) And not much will change at all. Both sides were bought by more or less the same people..馃樂

@whowasthatmaskedman freedom and corporatism can't mix. People are not free to move but corporations are global. War kills them and Europe puts up a fence so they're not going to be able to flee! That's how you enslave the entire globe.
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego There we disagree. Corporation, kept in check by effective regulation to protect people and the environment and taxed to meet their responsibilities as corporate members of the community and nation are the most progressive and prosperous economic model yet devised. Perfect? No. But better than any alternative so far..馃樂
Roundandroundwego61-69
@whowasthatmaskedman but we haven't seen a well regulated capitalism since communist and western powers competed to provide the better welfare state for the populations. Nobody thinks we're going back there - punishment and death for the aging populations, war from the richest and most rapacious capitalists, a dead world, but no socialism. Because capitalism killed socialism in 1991.
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego Agreed. But the post war US economy came closer than any other example. Up to the time of the Vietnam war..馃樂

@whowasthatmaskedman without the ussr to set an example, welfare of the people isn't a priority for the devils.
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego Actually we can trace corporate denevalence back to the British Mill towns of the industrial revolution, where the mill owners built schools and hospitals and sunsidized stores to create a healthier more productive workforce..

@whowasthatmaskedman their well-being as capitalist no longer depends on a healthy work force. Destroying the US population is extremely important for capitalism. With alternatives, people would never serve capitalism. American government and NATO agree - they'll all fall like Domino's the second you put down that gun!
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego No. Sorry, we part ways there. No destruction was required. Thats just a side effect of short sighted greed..馃樂
Roundandroundwego61-69
@whowasthatmaskedman sanctions and wars are necessary when you refuse to lead with anything like social welfare.
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@Roundandroundwego Nope...馃樂

@Roundandroundwego Social welfare is responsible for 90 percent of the ills of this country. Financially, it drains 75 percent of the federal budget.
Roundandroundwego61-69
@Reason10 human rights are a drain on Americans? Nobody counts on the government to admit it has responsibilities there? Good. War it shall be, then!
