I don’t know

I often think about Africa . How it’s so wealthy and a lot of people in it are extremely wealthy yet the poverty there is extremely intense . Maybe itS not corruption , maybe it’s maliciousness . Maybe the majority of them are just cruel hearted, that they could stomach the things happening and not join hands to stop it .

Well, it is mostly a case of institutional integrity and the lack of institutionalized ethics. Specifically, it is assumed that siphoning off wealth to those holding power is part of the plan.

In contrast, in Western democracies, yes corruption still does take place, but it's not assumed or built-in as part of the way things are intended to operate. Basically, it's a cultural mindset.

Eh, the bourgeoisie will almost always exploit the people of their country as much as they can get away with. As far as I can tell, the problem with wealth inequality in Africa is moreso an issue of organization than character, when it comes down to it; they just don't have the strong institutions required to protect the poor from the rich.
Part of the problem is alot of the ruling class in many African states were artificially created by the colonial powers. The colonizers left but the people they put in power to control the locals still run the show in many countries. Often it can take awhile and get very messy before a new order is established.

Poverty breeds millionaires. Because poverty means poor education. Poor education means poor resource management. Poor technology. Bad agriculture. Means being consumers instead of producers. Means depending on others instead of self. So the other countries will use a select few to gain acces to their resources while the benefit for that acces is restricted to the very few that facilitate it. It's a lot cheaper that way: making a few extremely rich is a lot cheaper than paying for what things would cost with decent labor rights and pay introduced to the population.
Maybe it’s a continent with many countries. Wealth isn’t equally distributed because power corrupts. Crazy, I know.

@nonsensiclesnail I know it’s not a country . Power corrupts everywhere we are all human and wealth is not equally distributed everywhere .

Wealthy as in.... financially, as in natural resources and/or culturally as in the diverse peoples?🌞
