NYC is its own world. A shining example of what the rest of America doesn't want to be like.

@Heartlander 🤔🤔🤔 I thought that was California! 🤣🤣🤣
@4meAndyou :) I'm probably biased since I lived in NYC for about 8 months and flew in and out routinely for a dozen or so years. if there is a difference between NYC and San Francisco it's that New Yorkers seem to go out of their way to inflict misery on one another and you. Geez, I have dozens of stories about NYC ... way too many to share here.

@Heartlander Northerners from big cities are definitely an acquired taste, to be sure. I refuse to go into Boston unless I have to drive my friend to the hospital...and I have a long-standing bias against New York City, as well.
@4meAndyou An old saying about NYC is why by passers just walk by and ignore a cab driver being mugged? Answer: Because the cab driver probably started it and is getting what he deserves.
Why is LaGuardia often referred to as La Garbage. Well it was built on what was an old garbage heap, but that's not why they call it La Garbage.
Story from a co worker: His car overheated while driving on the Van Wyck Expressway. He pulls over to the shoulder, lifts the hood to see what's wrong. Within seconds another car pulls up behind him, the driver jumps out with wire cutters and yells: "I just want the battery, you can have the rest".
Life span of an auto abandoned on a NYC expressway before it's stripped clean is about 48 hours.
etc.
