My dad is annoyed with me because I tend to “Beat it around the bush”?

He would be like, “Why didn’t you just say that?! Just say it how it is instead of buttering up shit to people. Just tell it like it is. I KNEW you were up to something! That’s annoying.”
Even my friends said that that’s so annoying and I need to just say it how it is and I’m not a blunt person. I just sugarcoat things.

Well be blunt and STRAIGHTFORWARD!!! Nobody likes someone that butters up shit! It’s very annoying and you don’t seem like the person that is honest. I’m not saying that you lied but you were buttering up shit! Stop it! Nobody’s gonna want to ask for your honest opinion if you can’t be straight up with them.
