My dad is annoyed with me because I tend to “Beat it around the bush”?

He would be like, “Why didn’t you just say that?! Just say it how it is instead of buttering up shit to people. Just tell it like it is. I KNEW you were up to something! That’s annoying.”
Even my friends said that that’s so annoying and I need to just say it how it is and I’m not a blunt person. I just sugarcoat things.
