Where did Dr. Marx say that?
Source please.

@helenS People's Paper, (Marx April 16 1856). You can find it in the Journal of the History of Ideas, Vol 12, No 1. 1981

@pianoplayingsteve I read the entire article (https://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1856/04/14.htm) but I could not find anything even remotely similar to what you said.

@helenS That's the thing with 2020. "I'll look at what an internet article says was written, rather than what was in the actual book", unfortunately.

@pianoplayingsteve marxists.org is usually a very reliable source, regarding the writings of Dr. Marx.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@helenS And what makes it so reliable?
helenS · 36-40, F
@pianoplayingsteve The site is run by faithful marxists, and Dr. Marx is their Moses.
I'm not a marxist, but I read several of his writings, and racism does not play a significant role in his writings; it's all about the structure and dynamics of society.
You may have become a victim of fraud.

@helenS "All this creationist information on this creationist site is accurate because it is run by faithful creationists". Whatever the ideology, or theory, the first people I would go to are its critics.
helenS · 36-40, F
@pianoplayingsteve Sure but critic should not be based on things Dr. Marx never said. Really the writings of Marx are well-documented.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@helenS Do you think a creationist is really going to put much effort into fact checking someone who appears to support his ideology? People looking to verify the validity of their own argument have more to gain by validating it and could therefore be biased, more so than a casually observing sceptic would gain by debunking it. One site does not constitute "well documented", if it did, genesis.org proves we were created.
helenS · 36-40, F
@pianoplayingsteve It's not about fact-checking. It's about honest quoting.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@helenS I'll take facts over the "honesty" someone has for their own ideology, any day.
helenS · 36-40, F
@pianoplayingsteve Steve I would recommend that you stop playing your piano for a couple of hours, and read some pages that Dr. Marx really wrote. It's interesting to see how self-contradictory his writings are. But really it has nothing to do with "weak races" and the holocaust.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@helenS I have. I have delved into the works of both Marx, Hitler, and quite a few other infamous figures. I recommend you do, too. Rather than linking me to a site telling me that is all the evidence I need. You know full well a page dedicated to propagating its own ideology is not going to fairly criticise its on ideas. And that isn't just a marxist site. I similarly wouldn't view one Islamic site as the authority on Islam. It's great when people who have never read a single page of the quran or visited a mosque tell me, who have done both, what I should think to Islam. Or christianity in the same context. Or Marxism in this case. I devour books of history, religion, science, psychology etcand actually gave Das Kapital another go through a couple of days ago. My past time is researching. I dont enjoy going out drinking, or films, or sleeping round. (and that is not to say you do, I am sure you are intelligent) I research, it's fun. I have the bible, book of mormon and quran set beside me at this very moment. I have not assumed any ignorance of you, so please, do not do the same to me. Thank you.
