@MasterLee: Why do you think I am a socialist?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Cierzo: I don't but it is the usual alternative presented.
Cierzo · M
@MasterLee: There are more. Socialism is just capitalism with one corporation, the state
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Cierzo: Oh is that so

@MasterLee: and oligarchy isnt much better

@Cierzo: So then, are you an anarchist?

In a better world, with better people, that could work, but in today's world, in our messed up society, I don't think that would work so well. Too many people are just out for themselves and seem to want to get away with whatever they can. I don't know how we're ever going to get better, as a society, but I'm afraid we're not ready for anarchy yet - not even close.

@TeresaRudolph71: I support this

@Cierzo: Interesting. I'm just not sure how the means of production would be spread. Would this be done by making more laws, or by not having so many laws, so that people would have more freedom to produce good and services?

@TeresaRudolph71: There are different branches in distributism. Personally I support private property, but with laws to prevent a huge accumulation of assets, especially housing and land.

Hmm, okay. I don't really agree with limiting how much wealth someone may accumulate, though I do agree with giving everyone an equal opportunity to be successful.

@TeresaRudolph71: To some extent I believe it is necessary. Otherwise oligarchy rules
