being a landlord isnt all that great id think theres a lot of hassle and not that much profit, but at the same time, if people couldnt buy properties just to rent them out maybe more people would have a chance at buying their own place

@Penny Housing shouldn't be viewed as a commodity in the first place. Renting is not a bad thing but it should never be in private hands with the exception of people offering to rent their living spaces or parts of their own homes. There is no reason why individuals should own multiple apartments just to make a profit off of someone elses homelessness or need for shelter.

@HoraceGreenley Not by market forces. By analysising how much people roughly can afford, other cost calculations and then the cheapest price possible.

Necessities such as housing, healthcare and food should never be left to market forces.

@Gloomy Market forces are the only way to do it. Price setting never worked. It's a recipe for disaster.
