Omar Khadr has just recieved his 10 million dollars that he won in the suit against the canadian government. How do you feel about that?

I don't think they were wrong to give it to him.
He was detained as a minor, held without trial and tortured for a decade.
The canadian and american government violated his human rights.

Frankly all these people saying he's a traitor and didn't deserve a trial or deserved to die are acting in exactly the manner they hate the terrorists for acting.

The Canadian government definitely broke the law and got caught, the court made the right decision and anyone complaining are either religious bigots or racist

Exactly. The 10 million wasn't an apology. The government got sued and lost

@lorne13 Says the person who said "anyone complaining are either religious bigots or racist' Do you not think someone could have legit criticism?

@Firespirit

Well in this case you are being critical of the position that citizens of canada have the right to a fair trial for any crimes of which they are accused.

So yeah, that's a bad thing to be against.

@MetalGreymonThey already don't in rape cases

@Firespirit

Does a miscarriage of justice in rape cases have something to do with this one?
Firespirit · 26-30, M
@MetalGreymon You said "citizens of canada have the right to a fair trial for any crimes of which they are accused"

@Firespirit

Yes they do. But what does that fact that other people have also been let down by the justice system have to do with whether it is right or wrong that khadr won his suit?

@lorne13 the bastard was captured on the battlefield as an illegal combatant. He's not a soldier.

He has no rights
