Can Nancy Pelosi get any more dramatic over the Senate healthcare bill?

Democrats, the party of fear.

Well, yes, we know you GOP couldn't care less about people dying, but do you have to be so obviously callous about it ?

Republicans. Party of Death.

@bijouxbroussard: A load of crap. Of course the republicans like polluted air, dirty water, right?
@GunSmoke9: You must. Or you don't care about others having to deal with it.
TheProphet · M
@bijouxbroussard: That's an out and out lie.
Ynotisay · M
@GunSmoke9: Clearly buddy. Why else would they be destroying the EPA?
@lastbabyboomer: Follow the money. Follow his actions.
TheProphet · M
@bijouxbroussard: Whose actions? The Senate bill will save around 300 billion dollars over the next decade. Money that we would have had to borrow from China. Why don't dems care that our country is going broke?
@lastbabyboomer: Why don't the Repubs care that this president is putting the money in his businesses ? And cutting plans like Meals on Wheels, Medicare and things that elderly depend on ? You'll save that money because of all of us who will be dead and no longer needing health insurance.
TheProphet · M
@bijouxbroussard: If people stay in his hotels and use his golf course, so what. Do you think you can buy a President with the price of a hotel room? As for cutting programs, there is only so much money in the discretionary budget and cuts are needed to balance the budget. We can't afford liberal largesse anymore.
@lastbabyboomer: THIS is the double standard. Trump complained about Obama playing golf, yet he lives on the golf course---he owns them, here and abroad. He complained about The Clinton Foundation (a charity), yet he refused to divest his own properties where he's receiving payments from overseas.

The Constitution also limits the president’s ability to enrich himself domestically. Article II, Section I says the president “shall not receive… any other emolument from the United States” except the salary paid for serving in the office. But Trump is constantly receiving such emoluments because the federal government leases property in some of his buildings. And the GOP is so corrupt it looks the other way.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard: Right, all republicans live high in the mountains, with clean water and air.
@GunSmoke9: If you don't you're behaving as if you do. Maybe Trump has convinced you you all are.
TheProphet · M
@bijouxbroussard: I don't believe he is violating the Constitution and I don't care how much time Trump or Obama played golf or go on vacation. The clinton charity was a way for hillary to get money for access.
@lastbabyboomer: That's the thing, the GOP is so freaking corrupt that up is down, black is white and Trump can do no wrong in their eyes. Trump is horrible and so are too many of his supporters. They don't care about anyone else. And I am scared for my family and myself once they get rid of healthcare for anyone who's not already rich.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@lastbabyboomer: I prefer the states decide how to run healthcare, or meal on wheels, not the feds.
@GunSmoke9: Like the southern states who get their funds from the feds for those programs ? What's the difference ?
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@Ynotisay: They are not destroying the EPA, but rein in their power.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard: The feds can borrow money from china, print up money, states can't. If states want to expand healthcare, let them figure out how to pay for it. Reduce spending is a start.
Ynotisay · M
@GunSmoke9: Let's make a deal. You don't write me and I won't write you, ok? Thanks.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@Ynotisay: fine coward. Enjoy your safe space.
TheProphet · M
@bijouxbroussard: That isn't going to happen. We aren't threatening you or your family and it will never come to that.
TheProphet · M
@GunSmoke9: She isn't a coward. You shouldn't make this discussion about calling names. She believes what she does as we believe in our arguements.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@lastbabyboomer: When someone tells me not to write to them just because we disagree, that's being a coward.
TheProphet · M
@GunSmoke9: She and I don't agree on much politically but I respect her opinion.
GunSmoke9 · 56-60, M
@lastbabyboomer: ok
