Is Trump getting away with something or is this whole Russia thing being blown out of proportion?

It isn't being blown out of proportion--Trump clearly has something to hide, or he wouldn't be firing anyone who is investigating him (Comey, Yates, Bharara). If he had nothing to hide, he'd not only let the investigation continue, he'd try to get it done and over with so he can move forward with his evisceration of America. Let Mueller complete his investigation and we'll see where the facts lead. Real facts, not alternative facts.
@windinhishair: All Trump has in his closet is some rudeness and indiscretion. The more the 4th Reich tries to dig up on Trump, the worse things are going to be for everyone. It's a losing proposition all the way around.
I am NO leftist but let's please not name call to prove our points. My feeling is beyond the cover up for Flynn, there will be no collusion between Trump and the Russians. I just don't feel it exists but the investigation is warranted and will prove or disprove as appropriate. @puck61:
@ShadowedWhispers: Russia has an enormous amount of untapped oil, at least billions of $ that could make vast personal wealth for Putin and the most ruthless businessman, wouldn't be were he is if he wasn't, in the history of capitalism.

@puck61: 4000+ lawsuits in his past. The only things Mueller is trying to dig up are the facts. We'll see if he ends up being squeak clean in the end. My guess is no.
But that still doesn't prove collusion or even illegality. @softspokenman:
@ShadowedWhispers: You're right. My '4th Reich' remark was aimed at the power structure and the media, but it was uncalled for. I honestly feel like a good many Americans are 'victims' and the globalists are the perpetrators. They have been creating this generation for at least sixty years with powerful and effective conditioning and indoctrination.
@windinhishair: Of course! Lawsuits are part of the business that he is in. Lawsuits are more common than white hard hats!
Truth @puck61: I am always careful to proceed with respect for all sides if possible. We are all right to have our opinions, even if I feel some of them are dead wrong. I try to be objective.

@puck61: Lawsuits, and skirting the law, are part of the game for developers. This is all one big game for Trump, and he's proven he will do anything, legal or illegal, to win. If there is any illegality in Trump's action during the campaign or as president, Mueller will find it. Hopefully Trump will stop trying to obstruct him from doing his job.
@ShadowedWhispers: Not yet. But perhaps there are a few people who know a lot more about what has been going on for decades now, selling this country "Down the River" for profit. Businesses and jobs gone to other countries to make a Profit. Business is Business !
@windinhishair: I understand that there is a powerful anti Trump movement in the USA and even around the world. Obviously there are reasons for it, but I think it's mostly predominantly individualist people and predominantly collectivist people being set against each other by conflicting values and priorities. The election of Donald Trump has served as a catalyst and is bringing out the worst in everyone. It was inevitable given the political climate since the inception of the 'counter culture'.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@puck61: The different "cultures"between left and right has been growing for more than a generation. There used to be conservative democrats and liberal republicans that overlapped in the middle on the political spectrum, and now the most liberal republican in congress is more conservative than the most conservative democrat. And that problem has been growing recently. But I think many, if not most of the anti-Trump movement is just that--against Trump as a leader and as a man. He represents the basest in human nature, and is a clear and present threat to democracy, a free press, and our institutions in general. No other republican would be seeing that same level of resistance had they been elected. People need to understand that the resistance has nothing to do with the election. It has to do with Trump, himself. And every single day, he proves that he is unfit intellectually, tempermentally, and emotionally, to be the leader of the free world.
@windinhishair: I'm a sensitive, insightful, discerning, and open minded person who sees Trump as possibly being one of the best presidents in US history. I'm nowhere close to fitting the description that an anti Trump person has for a Trump supporter. You're probably not a 'poodle shark' either. I hope the left-right differences are reconciled enough to prevent further violence soon. Unfortunately, the hope for peace seems 'idealistic' at this point.
Good point both. What civil debate looks like and is about

@puck61: Amen, brother. The violence on both sides troubles me deeply. And I worry what will happen if evidence is found of Trump's wrongdoing and he is impeached or resigns? I know some people personally who will go absolutely nuts. Hopefully we can maintain the peace as we move forward, no matter what happens with the investigations. For myself, I will accept Mueller's findings, even if he finds Trump completely innocent of any wrongdoing.
And again I am given hope for us.
@windinhishair: &
@puck61:
@windinhishair: If the 'alt right' takes up arms, it will be apocalyptic. The 'alt right' is frighteningly well armed and many have been training for this very scenario for years. There would have to be federal intervention on a large scale and we would be at our most vulnerable point since 1861.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@puck61: That thought has crossed my mind more than once, I am sad to say. I was worried about it during the election, too. Trump was clearly planning to protest the results as fake if he had lost, and it could have easily happened then. I don't think he thought he was going to win.
@windinhishair: I will resist the urge to get defensive! 😇🤝🏽
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@puck61: We shall see what happens. I think it is going to be a long time though. I don't think we'll have a resolution either way until 2018 at the earliest. These investigations usually take quite a bit of time to document everything, pro or con.
Agreed and more likely if there anything to any of this, he would resign not be impeached as the bar for a sitting president is awfully high. There is a reason none have been impeached. Although I very much wish the party had selected a different candidate during the primaries, I respect the decision there and also in the general election and afford him the respect due the office and wish him and our country the best, however if there is illegality here then it must be dealt with accordingly. @windinhishair:

I'm truly done with blathering idiots today @TheSaint: SMH

@TheSaint: Only Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached and tried by the Senate. Both were acquitted by the vote of the full Senate. The House drew up articles of impeachment for Nixon, but he resigned before the impeachment proceedings could reach the Senate for a vote.
Agreed, the bar is high and no president has successfully been impeached. Why are we debating fucking facts. @TheSaint:
