@Nomar67: but because it's history should it deserve a monument? Why are there no monuments of the slaves from that time? They are just as much a part of the history of that time. The monument does indicate which side is being memorialized. What do you think?
it seems like more would be gained from having monumented dedicated to Katrina and other events that have happened in New Orleans in the last 100 years.
