Are "refugees" the new lumpenproletariat?

From Encyclopaedia Britannica: Lumpenproletariat , (German: “rabble proletariat”), according to Karl Marx in The Communist Manifesto, the lowest stratum of the industrial working class, including also such undesirables as tramps and criminals. The members of the Lumpenproletariat—this “social scum,” said Marx—are not only disinclined to participate in revolutionary activities with their “rightful brethren,” the proletariat, but also tend to act as the “bribed tools of reactionary intrigue.”

The "social scum" words are Marx's, not mine. Basically the lumpenproletariat does not have class conscience, cares just for themself, and does not hesitate to serve bourgeois interests.

Did they have welfare in communist Russia back then? 🤔

@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: Their welfare was in some gulag in Siberia.

@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: Communist Russia? Is that a new country? If you mean the Bolshevik revolution, that preceded the Soviet Union, that happened decades after Karl Marx died.

Serving "bourgeois" interests, is what nearly all workers today do, regardless of where they fall on the earning scale.

Read a book about the tech industry tycoons, and how employees are treated, even if the employees shackles are golden.
yeah thanks for that history lesson..
But did they have welfare?...

@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: Why would it matter? It's not like the Bolsheviks implemented a pure Marxist society, or the Soviets for that matter. Anything else you have no clue about? and it's not like Marx was German, then British....
