What would happen if welfare was run by the state government​ instead of the federal government?

@icyreb: We are still paying taxes for it regardless of whether it is state or federal funded.

@Masarch96: the States would make things worse. just look at the entitlement programs the States offer up, now. ouch

I agree. even common sense stuff like when a lady hit the lottery for a million or so, and she was still allowed to collect food stamps and social benefits.. I mean, duh..

@icyreb: Yeah the system needs to be cut back drastically. The government enables people to depend on it way too much instead of fending for themselves.
