The UK government are having talks with all the ISPs and phone companies to force unfiltered access to everyone's data.

They want back doors in all OS.

It's already the case that I can't get access to some sites with my ISP unless I divulge my passport or driving license to them. Unfortunately I have neither. It's interesting what I can't get to. Even some straightforward non-adult news sites.

@GlassDog: I haven't experience this, what sites are you using? haha

I just use tor if a site is blocked. Although I think I'll be investing in a VPN before all this comes into force.

@NocturnalNomad: Haha! Nothing dodgy. Just about 10% of standard Google searches tell me I can't get to a site. When I use a privacy network and go to the sites, there's nothing at all there that's adult. Just things like philosophy blogs or poetry.
