WTF is it with this Congress always targeting the poor and less fortunate?

Because they are representing themselves, not the people that voted for them.
They wouldn't be the first to by any means. It appears they just seem bolder in their disdain of certain supposed underclasses these days. More so than they have in a long time, I think.

@WingedWonder: It takes a special kind of asshole to treat people like that.
True. Washington D.C. has no shortage of assholes.

Term Limits, right now all they worry about is getting re-elected for the next 30 years

To what are you referring? Facts please, not stupid opinions that can easily be refuted with fact.

@ZackMrGenXer: I had computer trouble after I started reading and had to shut down. I think I had too many things open. eye roll. anyway one thing in the article puzzled me. Let me see if I can find it without having to shut down again. Ok I'm not able to copy it but it says "older recipients would receive twice the subsidy as younger recipients but the subsidy wouldn't otherwise be tied to the price of the plan, making insurance unaffordable for many."

so what is this tax on the elderly you're talking about?
ZackMrGenXer · 51-55, M
@katielass: I doubt anyone knows what that tax is since no one exactly knows what's in the bill. There has to be some truth to it since my sources seem close to this issue. No doubt everyone will get a better look at it as it makes it's way to the senate. I mean you have to trust someone to tell you what's going on. You trust someone as I trust someone. If I'm overreacting to this, I'll be the first person to tell YOU that I was wrong. Right now, people are saying that every senator that voted for the repeal won't have a job at the mid-term elections. You just make sure that we keep in touch in the event I have to come crying back to you.

@ZackMrGenXer: It doesn't matter who is right or wrong. I think we both want what works for the most people. Nothing is going to be perfect. I wish they had tried to fix obamacare but the repubs seemed hell bent on repealing and replacing. At least whatever was in this bill is not going to be the final law. The senate will rip it to pieces and maybe save the house repubs from themselves. don't worry about crying to me, if the final bill sucks we can both cry a river.

they think by starving us out will get rid of the poor population.

this is an old one.
No one's really representing the interests of the poor and less fortunate. No one in power's even claiming to, now.
