So....Prime Minister May has officially pulled the pin !

The countdown to Britain leaving the European Union has officially begun.
What do you hope she manages to secure in terms of trade or other deals in the remaining two years before the UK has to officially leave the European Union ?

I just heard on the radio that the EU will 'most likely play hardball' as a deterrent to other countries thinking about exiting.. Should be expected by a bunch of bullies.. I wouldn't sweat.. Someone who loves money will gladly take up trade if others won't.. China for eg..

China; Russia; India; All have their own troubles. But wouldn't they just love a slice of European recognition ??
dont know about that bob.. I just don't think it's a big a deal as mainstream media a EU mouth organs say it is.. Wait n see I guess.. No turning back now. 😃

The Common Market was created because it was thought that by the turn of the 21st century most import/exports would be by way of trade blocs.
So it was a case of 'better to be in it and whinge rather than be left on the sidelines'.
But, as it turns out. And as much as i hate to say it. Thatcher was right !!
She saw all this coming about once the Single European Currency was approved !

@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: I think the EU is on its arse anyway. Its finances are shot, there is dissent everywhere and the other countries will soon be using us as a model for leaving. We just have to get it right!
I hope things work out for the best.. It's going to suck watching the twisted politics the next few years.. The EU will be doing everything it can to make it hard. If others see England's exit as positive the EU will crumble..

@Curiosity: Quite possible. With France and Germany calling the majority of the shots it's clear any policy is likely to favour them over anybody else, one of the reasons the Brits were so ticked off in the first place !
