If it was proved accurately

That Obama was indeed born in Kenya like his half brother and grandmother claim, would you still acknowledge his Presidency as legal or would you be sickened that something like that could be perpetrated against US Citizens? The fact he would not have been legal to be President.

Look. The former President of the United States was born in America. How do we know? By using the exact same measure of proof demanded of any US citizen. A birth certificate was provided, and yes, it was a legitimate, proper form birth certificate as verified by the hospital of his birth.

Let me ask you: Aside from the obvious duplicity of lying about an issue, would it matter to you that he was born in another country? How crucial is it that a president be born on domestic soil? Certainly, we've shown we grow terrorists here like crops. What about his presidency was made worse by the "possibility" he was born elsewhere? Where was the uproar when someone like Schwarzenegger, born not only abroad but in the same land as Hitler, was elected to office? Seems to me like stirring a pot that doesn't need stirring.

The birth certificate was only produced after the 2nd election. Oklahoma was one of the states that asked for proof before they would allow him to run for the 2nd term and they were told they would lose Federal funding and have lawsuits if they just didn't drop it.

The constitutions says he has to be a Natural Born citizen to be elected President. Now if you don't believe the constitution is law, then I guess you may have a point. Arnold was not elected to be President. It was California that he ran in and was elected Governor.

@bigjohndl: Only produced to the public at large. Who are not the ones who determine a candidate's eligibility. That's Congress, and they cleared him well before then, or else he would have never been on the ballot in 2008. Anything beyond that is publicity, not policy.

@OggggO: Where do you get that information? Congress does not clear anyone to run for President. That is supposed to be done by the states before they allow them on the ballot. When questioned at the state level, officials here said that they had never any reason to check to see if they were Natural Born. Several people were in big trouble because it did not happen. Then when they tried to correct it in 2012, the feds told them to drop it.

Please cite your sources for Congress to approve candidates. Or is this more Fake News from the left?

@bigjohndl: I seem to have erred, based on some informal arguments I had with my dad, who also believes the "we don't know where he was born" crap. Congress didn't certify him, instead, challenges to his citizenship status were thrown out by various courts for lack of standing.

But hey, since you want to bring sources into it, how about some sources for your claims of persecution by the feds. Because I'm pretty sure that's just as wrong as your claim that he didn't produce his birth certificate until after the 2nd election. It's been available online since 2008: http://web.archive.org/web/20080922222958/http://fightthesmears.com/articles/5/birthcertificate

yeah, okay, quote Wikipedia for your source. Next you want to quote Snopes, I assume?
